A former basketball coach has opened up about his relationship with Katy Perry.
Katy Perry and the #KatyParks franchise has been announced as the home of the NBA’s 2020-21 season, which begins June 4.
The announcement came after the company confirmed that it will begin its NBA All-Star Game festivities with a celebration on July 11.
In a statement, Perry said, “Katy’s always been an icon and a fan favorite, and we are so excited to welcome her back to the arena.
We have had a great relationship with the city of Portland and its great fans for more than 40 years, and are excited to see her return to the game’s biggest stage.”
The new venue will feature a state-of-the-art scoreboard, as well as a new retractable roof, and will be open to the public, including the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Portland Trailblazers will host the All-NBA games from July 11 to 16.
“It’s a dream come true to bring the All and a world class venue to the city that has always been a great home for us,” said Portland Trail Blazer owner Jared Bednar.
The Blazers are hosting a team exhibition against the Los Angeles Lakers on July 12 at the Moda Center.
Portland will host its first home game in its new arena in 2020.
The city’s first professional basketball team, the Portland Beavers, have moved into the Modo Center.
The Beavers are the first professional sports team in Oregon to relocate to a new arena.
The franchise relocated from the Modab Arena in Portland to the Modal Center in 2015.
The NBA’s All-Stars will be in Portland from July 4 to 7.
Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said the team’s relocation will give the city a chance to “celebrate the game of basketball.”
The city of Orlando announced the first-ever outdoor game of the 2020-20 season on Tuesday.
The city hosted a team outdoor scrimmage against the San Antonio Spurs on July 14.
The game will take place at the Magic’s new facility at Orlando International Airport.
The league’s 2020 All-Tournament Team, featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Miami Heat, will be announced on July 21.NBA All-star Kevin Durant, the reigning MVP of the league, will play in the game.NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will be the host for the game on ESPN.NBA stars Kevin Durant and LeBron James will be among the NBA stars expected to attend.
